6.5.5.2 Storage options for handsets
WARNING
When not in use, stow the handset in such a way that it cannot inadvertently fall off (hang
it up by the hook/in the holder). Make sure that the cable cannot be damaged by moving
parts of the bed.
The following storage options are available for handsets:
•
On the safety side bar for use by the patient (on either side of the bed)
•
Safe storage in lockable storage compartments under the mattress base on both sides
of the bed to prevent unauthorised access by unsupervised children; see also safety

Places for storing the LCD handset
Risk of injury and strangulation
Failure to heed this warning may result in strangulation with handset cables.
•
Stow the handset and cable, if available, in a storage compartment located in the centre
under both long sides of the mattress base if children are left unsupervised in the same
room as the bed.
•
Lock these storage compartments with the magnetic lock provided with them.
The following sticker on the storage compartments and linen holder reminds you to store
the handset safely.
