Insurance cover on company
premises
In many cases, company premises are
restricted public traffic areas.
NOTE
The business liability insurance should be
reviewed to ensure that, in the event of any
damage caused in restricted public traffic
areas, there is insurance cover for the truck in
respect of third parties.
Changes and retrofitting
If the truck is used for work that is not listed
in the guidelines or in these instructions and
has to be converted or retrofitted accordingly,
you must note that any change to its structural
state can affect the handling and stability of
the truck, which in turn can lead to accidents.
You should therefor
e contact your service
centre beforehand.
Changes that will adversely affect stability,
load capacity, safety systems etc. must not be
made without the manufacturer’s approval.
Thetruckmayonlybeconvertedwithwritten
approval from the manufacturer. Approval
from the relevant authority must be obtained
where applicable.
In addition, chan
ges to the brakes, steering,
control elements
, circumferential view, equip-
ment variants (e.
g. attachments) must not be
made without the p
rior written approval of the
manufacturer.
DANGER
There is a risk of accident due to restricted visibility.
Additional attachments (e.g. terminals, printers,
mirrors) in the driver’s compartment area can
restrict the driver’s field of vision.
– Only install attachments (variants) that have
been specifically approved by STILL in accor-
dance with the safety regulations.
