Creating and Using Math Waveforms

Use the procedure that follows to define the current waveform as a spectral

magnitude waveform or a spectral phase waveform.

Prerequisites

1. The source that you want to use must be available.

Spectral waveforms are created from live waveforms;

you cannot create a spectral waveform from math or

reference waveforms.

Open the Math

2. From the toolbar, cli ck Math button to open the Math

Setup control window.

Select a

predefined

spectral

analysis m ath

function

3. Select the Mathn tab for the waveform that you want to

create and click Predefined Mag or Phase to select

magnitude or phase spectral analysis. The waveform

display is activated.
