REMOVAL
1. Using a portable filtering unit, pump the hydraulic
oil into a suitable clean container. The tank holds
6.8 U.S. gallons (25.7 liters). If a filtering unit is not
available, remove the drain plug at the bottom of
the tank and drain the oil into a suitable container
(Figure 9D-3).

2. After draining, replace the hydraulic tank drain
plug.
3. Unlatch the seat platform (Figure 9C-3).
4. Pivot the seat and seat platform to the full upward
position (Figure 9C-3).
5. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the
battery.
6. Tag and disconnect the hydraulic return hoses and
outlet hose (Figure 9D-3). Immediately plug the
hoses and tank to prevent contamination of the
hydraulic system.
7. Remove two mounting bolts from the rear mount-
ing bracket of the hydraulic tank (Figure 9D-4).

8. Remove two mounting bolts from the upper front
mounting bracket (Figure 9D-5).
NOTICE
If available, use a portable filtering unit when drain-
ing the hydraulic oil. If a portable filter is not avail-
able, the oil should be drained into a clean container
and filtered for use. If filtering is not available, dis-
pose of the hydraulic oil and fill the tank with clean fil-
tered oil.
NOTICE
Dispose of unwanted oil properly. Dumping oil in an
unsafe manner is illegal. Check with local environ-
mental officials for information on properly disposing
of oil products.
