Symbols may be found on the instrument to warn against potential hazards or convey
important safety information. In this document, the hazard symbol is used along with
one of the following user aention words:
• CAUTION! – Indicates a potentially hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
may result in minor or moderate injury. It may also be used to alert against
unsafe practices.
• WARNING! – Indicates a potentially hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.
• DANGER! – Indicates an imminently hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
