Night Ringing over Selected Page Zones
In systems shared by 1~4 tenants, each tenant’s exchange lines can be assigned to night ring
separate PIOU external page zones. This feature can also be used in one-tenant systems.
With shared systems, for example, Tenant 1’s night ringing exchange lines could be
programmed to ring PIOU external page zones 1 and 2, while Tenant 2’s lines could be
programmed to ring zones 3 and 4. In non-shared systems, night ringing exchange lines can
be assigned to ring all of the zones or just selected zones.
Programming Exchange Lines to Ring Selected PIOU Page Zones
Program 78-1: Assigns Exchange lines, Tenant 1 through Tenant 4, that will night ring over
PIOU external page zones.
Program *15: Assigns Exchange lines to Tenant 1 through Tenant 4. Lines are initialised as
Tenant 1.
Program 77-3: Assigns Tenant 1 through Tenant 4 Exchange lines to night ring specific PIOU
external page zones.
Program 39: Assigns appropriate 1LJKW 7UDQVIHU and 7 HQDQW 3LFN0XS (for Tenant or
Non-Tenant systems) buttons to electronic and digital telephones.
Note
Any station can pick up Exchange lines that night ring over external page zones by
pressing the [PDN] and dialling &8<.
Night Ringing Over External Page Zones (PIOU Only)
The system can be set up for all Exchange lines to ring over all external paging zones.
➤ To allow night ringing to be sent over zone paging
1. Install the paging amplifier. (see Figure 6-20).
2. Connect from the Paging Amplifier to the 600 ohm output on the Base Unit.
3. Cross-connect the amplifier output A to the PG IN1~PG IN4 connector from the PIOU.
4. Cross-connect the paging amplifier output B to the zone 1~ zone D speaker common
line.
5. Cross-connect PIOU PG OUT1~PG OUT4 to zone 1~ zone 4 speakers (A).
6. Cross-connect thre amplifier output A to pin 9 (NHR) of the PIOU.
7. Cross-connect a jumper from pin 34 (NHT) to pin 23 (PG COMMON) from the PIOU
PCB.
Programming Night Exchange Line Ringing to Ring All Zones
Program 77-1: Set LED 05 to OFF and LED 06 to ON. Set LED 08 to ON if door phones are
to ring over external page in Night Mode.
Program 78-1: Assign the Exchange lines that are to Night Ring over External Page zones
when the system is in Night Mode.
Program 39: Assign the appropriate 1LJKW 7UDQVIHU button to electronic and digital
telephones.
