Universal Slot PCBs
The following PCBs can be used in the universal slots of the Strata DK40 Expansion KSU
(see Table 2-13).

PPACU AC15 Tie line unit
The PACU provides 4 AC15 tie line circuits 3-19
PCOU Exchange Line Interface Unit
The PCOU PCB adds four Exchange lines to
the system and it can only be installed in the
Expansion KSU.

PDKU
Digital Telephone Interface
Unit
The PDKU provides eight digital telephone
circuits that can support the same peripherals
as the digital circuits in the Base KSU.

PEKU
Electronic Telephone Interface
Unit
The PEKU provides eight electronic telephone
circuits that can interface with electronic
telephones and a HDSS.

PEMU E&M Tie Line Unit
The PEMU provides four DC5 tie line circuits. 3-22
PEPU External Page Interface Unit
The PEPU provides relay interfaces (door lock
control etc).

PIOU and
PIOUS
Option Interface Unit
The PIOU provides interfaces for such useful
features as external zone paging, SMDR, and
IMDU. The PIOUS provides interfaces for
SMDR and IMDU.

RBSU ISDN Basic Rate Interface Unit
This unit supports 2 circuits, (4 B channels)
ISDN BRI. The circuits are switchable (TE/NT).
The RBSU provides an interface for the RBSS.

RPTU
ISDN Primary Rate Interface
Unit
This unit supports up to a maximum of 12 ISDN
PRI channels. It must be installed in slot 15 or
17 and the slot following it must always be left
vacant.

RSTU
Standard Telephone Interface
Unit
The RSTU has eight circuits that can support
single-line devices. The RSTU can support fax
machines, modems, a separate BGM source,
off-premises stations, Toshiba voice mail
(Stratagy, Stratagy DK or VP), digital
announcement devices for the optional built-in
auto attendant feature and customer-supplied
voice mail devices.
