Strata DK40 I&M Manual Spring 1999
Refer to the Strata DK40 Programming Manual or DK Library CD-Rom for more details.
Table 2-3 DK40 Base KSU PCBs
Toshiba recommends installing the Base KSU option PCBs K5RCU and/or KSTU3 before
mounting the Base KSU on the wall. Install the Expansion KSU per Page 2-8, then install the
Expansion KSU option PCBs.
The Base KSU slots 00~14 are automatically assigned the following codes in Program 03
when the system is turned on and the Base KSU PCBs are installed.
Slot 00: Code 91 without K5RCU3; Code 98 with K5RCU
Slot 11: Code 61 for eight digital telephones, Code 62 eight digital telephones with OCA, 64
for OCA/DSS.
Slot 12: Code 11 for TCOU (four loop lines) or 77 for TBSU (two ISDN BRI circuits (4
channels NT or TE)).
Slot 13: Code 31, four KSTU3 ports.
Slot 14: This is not supported in the UK.
Expansion KSU PCBs
A DK40 Expansion KSU from the factory does not come with any PCBs installed. (See Table
1-2 for a list of PCBs supported by the DK40 Expansion KSU and Chapter 3 – DK40
Universal Slot PCBs for detailed descriptions/installation instructions.) Toshiba recommends
that PCBs which support electronic or digital telephones be installed into slots 15 and 16
because slots 17 and 18 cannot support Off-hook Call Announce (OCA).
PCB Hardware/Software Options
PCBs can be configured for a variety of hardware and software options. Hardware options are
defined as either internal (generally related to optional PCB subassemblies) or external
(related to connection of peripheral equipment, such as background music, voice mail, etc.).
Hardware and software options for each PCB are identified in the individual PCB installation
procedures in this chapter.
