Strata DK40 I&M Manual Spring 1999
Refer to the Strata DK40 Programming Manual or DK Library CD-Rom for more details.
Installation
ACD for the Strata DK40 system is provided through a feature key upgrade called RKYS.
The RKYS is a subassembly that attaches to the K5RCU unit to provide the system with
optional features. For installation instructions see Chapter 2 – DK40 Installation, “Feature
Key Upgrades (KKYS, RKYS2 & 3)” on Page 2-25.
Note
The KKYS will not support ACD operation.
Multiple Serial Port Installation
Remote Maintenance and MIS for ACD
The PIOU/PIOUS PCBs can be installed to provide:
◆ Maintenance Terminal (or modem) interface
◆ Management Information System (MIS) for ACD interface
◆ SMDR
Related Programs
Program 03 (Codes 41 and 42): Assigns PIOU and PIOUS interface options. SMDR, page
outputs, relay controls, alarm sensor, and door lock functions on PIOU or PIOUS will be
active on the installed PIOU/PIOUS that is programmed with the lowest Program 03 code (41
or 42).
◆ Code 41: Enables Remote Maintenance via the TTY port
◆ Code 42: Enables MIS/SMIS via the TTY port.
The PIOU or PIOUS must have Code 42 set for its respective slot in Program 03 to enable the
MIS data to be output from the TTY port.
For more information on installation of the PIOU/PIOUS, see Chapter 3 – DK40 Universal
Slot PCBs and Chapter 6 – Peripheral Installation.
Wiring
Announcements/music patterns are played and sent to callers at programmed time intervals
while calls are waiting in an ACD queue. Announcement and music devices are connected to
Strata DK40 station ports and are assigned to ACD Groups in Program 14-3 in the Strata
DK40 Programming Manual.
The ACD/MIS interface is provided by the TTY modular jack on a separate serial port (PIOU
or PIOUS), see Figure 7-2.
