CFM-BL10Pro General instruction manual
81 / 87
8.3. CFM cannot detect defective samples of large-scale wires.
Thickness of the terminals for large scale wires of HV and EV are very thick. The
amount of terminal load in total crimping load is bigger than ones of normal terminal.
Then CFM cannot detect the defective samples occurred in strands, not terminal
such as strands out, strands cut and crimp on insulation because the force curve
shape does not drastically change.
8.4. Force curve of thin wire such as AWG30 and more is not stable.
The minimum wire size that can be detected by CFM-BL10Pro is AWG28.
Light blue Good samples
Red Only terminals
Head room suitable for CFM judgement
Head room not suitable for CFM judgement
The ratio of terminal load is high
and one of strands is very low.
If Head room is less than 35%,
that sample is not suitable for
CFM judgement.
