4.2. Tolerance number
CFM performs judgements based on the number of the tolerance table originally
registered. The table has the number 1 to 8 No.1 is severe tolerance and No.8 is
rough one. Those tolerance number 1 to 8 are decided and cannot be changed.
Guide for tolerance selection
4.3. Manual tolerance
Manual tolerance is used when CFM cannot manage to be operated (many good
samples errors / false alerts happen) with the auto tolerance and tolerance number
and when you want to freely change and set the tolerance. The selected tolerance is
saved and remembered until the setting is changed next time. Its initial setting is
tolerance No. 7. The tolerance values can be freely changed in each T1, T2 and T3
Tol No.
Detection level
1
The tolerance No.1 is the most severe tolerance. To detect 1/7
strand cut, No.1 is recommended. Instead of that, misjudgments
of good samples may increase.
2
The tolerance No.2 and 3 are little more severe than a standard
tolerance. Small defective samples can be detected with these.
These are strict tolerance to use when tolerance No.1 has many
good samples misjudgments.
3
4
The tolerance No.4 and 5 are balanced one which can detect
small defectives and reduce misjudgments. These are expected
to detect 2/7 strands cut.
5
6
The tolerance No.6 and 7 are not as strict as the standard one.
These tolerances are expected to detect serious defective
samples and reduce misjudgments. Use these tolerances when
the force curves of good samples have large scale deviations.
7
8
The tolerance No.8 is the biggest tolerance. CFM disable the
judgment of T1, T2 and TD area where many force curve
deviations appear. Then CFM performs judgments with only T3
area. CFM detects only serious defective samples and reduces
good samples errors.
