Front Panel LEDs:
The front panel of this module has eight LEDs which display solid colors of red, green, yellow or
warble all three colors. These colors indicate the state of the overall DME system. The various
states are described below:
o ON LINE
LED color indicates operational status of the DME system:
Green
This is the normal condition. All modules of the DME system are ON LINE.
Yellow
This is an alarm condition. The Station-Master computer can not communicate
with all the M9000 modules. During this time the COMMUNICATION LED is red.
Red
This is an alarm condition. The DME system is not recording.
o TRIGGER
LED color indicates condition of trigger limits of the DME system:
Green
This is a trigger condition. A trigger condition means one or more analog
measurements exceeded a trigger limit or one or more digital inputs transitioned to
an abnormal value or state. This LED remains green until the Station-Master
computer requests the triggered data.
Warble (Green-Yellow-Red)
The Station-Master has requested the triggered data from all the M9000 modules.
Once transfer is complete, the LED resets to Off.
Off
No trigger conditions are being processed.
o Clock Sync
LED color indicates status of the time synchronization of the DME system:
Green
This is the normal condition. All M9000 modules are synchronized to the IRIG time
source within a tolerance of one microsecond.
Yellow
This is a warning condition. All M9000 modules are synchronized to IRIG but an
unsynced condition has occurred within the past 60 minutes.
