Troubleshooting
E3214 Optical 
Calibration
Failed
Remove the cassette and ensure that the ribbon cores are the
correct size. If the ribbon has been replaced, check that the
waste has been removed and a new waste core fitted.
Refit the cassette and then press the Clear button. The printer
will automatically retry the calibration.
The printer has detected out of range diameters for the ribbon
spools. If the ribbon spool diameters are within spec, please
check that the optical calibration sensor and LED's are 
functioning correctly and that there is no damage to any of
the cabling or connectors for each.
Refit the cassette and then press the Clear button. The printer
will automatically retry the calibration.
E3215 Print 
Resolution 
Mismatch
The printer attempted to print an image that has a different
print resolution to the current printer configuration.
The print has been aborted.
Press the Clear button to dismiss this error.
E3216 Printhead
Power Fault
Printhead power fault. Contact your maintenance engineer.
E3217 Printhead Fault A problem has been detected with the printhead.
Call your maintenance engineer.
Press the Detail button for maintenance assistance.
The printhead detection system is unable to measure the 
resistance of the printhead.
Power off the machine and check that the printhead cables are
not damaged and are firmly plugged into the printhead.
Power on to see if the fault has cleared.
If the problem persists, power of the machine and replace the
printhead. Power on to see if the fault has cleared.
If the problem still persists, contact your maintenance 
engineer. The machine will not run until this fault is resolved.
E3218 Printhead 
Sensor Fault
Printhead temperature sensor fault. Contact your 
maintenance engineer.
E3219 Printhead Over
Temperature
Printhead Over Temperature. Contact your maintenance
engineer.
E3220 Incompatible
Printhead
An incompatible printhead has been detected.
Press the Detail button for maintenance assistance.
An incompatible printhead has been detected. Power off the
machine and replace with a compatible printhead. Power on
to resume operation.
If the problem persists, or if you wish to purchase spare parts,
Contact your maintenance engineer. The machine will not run
until this fault is resolved.
