Symptom: Shift mechanism of the forward gear and reverse gear does not operate properly.
Check the operation of the shift
rod.
Check the condition of the shift
rod connection between the
lower case and upper case.
Disassemble the lower case,
and then check the shifting gear
mechanism and the respective
parts.
Replace the shift rod.
Check the shift cables and links
of the remote control box.
Check the detent of the bottom
cowling.
