2 Connect the tray quadrants together using 1/4-inch id (6.35 mm) tubing
(Figure 73).
Coolant
Use distilled water as your cooling fluid. If desired, you may add a maximum
of 3% ethylene glycol to the distilled water to prevent freezing.
Determine the water bath temperature
The temperature of the sample vials depends on several factors, including the
ambient temperature and the temperature of the water bath.
