Linear Mode Operation
LINEAR
MODE
OPERATION
Linear mode is one of the two Intellex recording modes (see Record
Mode Setup on page 76).
NOTE: When the image database is full and Linear is selected,
recording stops and an option screen appears.
In linear mode, the unit records from the beginning to the end of the
image database. When the database is partially or completely full
(depending on the record setting), the unit displays a notification
screen. The operator must choose one of the following options:
• Perform a backup immediately.
• Postpone archiving and recording until later.
• Continue recording images at the beginning of the database,
which overwrites older images.
The following sections describe the messages and options for each
notification screen.
Database Partially Full
The Notify when _____% full option on the Record Mode screen
controls when the unit displays a message to the operator (see
Record Mode Setup on page 76).
When the percentage of unarchived images in the image database
reaches this setting, the unit flashes the Alarms indicator on the
front panel. It also energizes alarm output 16 if the Message Alert
option is selected (see Alarms Setup on page 78). Then it displays the
following screen (with the appropriate percentage):
