Installing the Intellex Unit
Refer to the External Data Storage Installation instructions for more
information. (Contact your dealer or Sensormatic for this
document.)
Network NOTE: Do NOT connect the Intellex unit to a network unless you
also install the Network Client on the network.
NOTE: We recommend the use of shielded twisted-pair cable for
network operation.
Connect the cable from the local area network to Connector 14
(Network). Use Category 5 twisted-pair Ethernet cable (CAT 5
TPE). Refer to the Network Client instructions for more information.
Call Monitor To connect an optional call monitor:
Connect a call monitor to the BNC connector on the Call Monitor
board, connector 20, to see live video from a single camera (Call
mode) or from alarmed cameras in sequence (Spot mode). Refer to
Call Monitor Setup on page 150 for more details.
