9.2.7 OE/NOE Door
Unsealed
Occurs if steam pressure in
operating end (OE) or non-
operating end (NOE) door
seal drops below 5 psig
(0.4 bar).
This alarm also occurs
when DOOR LOCK Switch
LS8 (LS9) opens when seal
pressure switch PS1 (PS2)
is made. The failed switch
number prints on the cycle
tape, for Example: “DOOR
UNSEALED 8” indicates
LS8 opened and caused
the alarm.

Causes And Correction:
1. Seal pressure switch
malfunction
• Check PS1(PS2)
connections
• Readjust PS1(PS2)
• Repair PS1(PS2)
2. Seal not activated
• Check seal steam
• Check seal exhaust
3. Valve malfunction
• Repair V35 (V36)
• Repair V37 (V38)4.
4. Door lock switch
malfunction
• Check LS8 (LS9) for
proper operation
• Check LS8 (LS9) for
intermittent connection at
switch and connectors
• Check LS8 (LS9) for
proper gap adjustment
(1/16” max) between
switch face and door lock
cylinder target
