6.5 Loading Cart and
Transfer Carriage:
Unloading
Refer to Figure 6-2.
1. Open chamber door.
2. Move transfer carriage forward until it engages with dock.
3. Once transfer carriage engages with dock, transfer carriage
latches to dock as it begins pushing into chamber.
4. Push carriage fully into chamber.
5. Turn hand crank clockwise until loading cart is fully lifted from
supports in chamber.
6. Withdraw cart and carriage from chamber.
7. Transfer carriage disengages from dock when fully withdrawn
from chamber. Pull carriage away from sterilizer.
8. Close chamber door.
Transfer load from sterilizer area.
WARNING – BURN HAZARD:
• Sterilizer, rack/shelves and
loading equipment will be
hot after cycle is run.
Always wear protective
gloves and apron when
removing a processed load.
Protective gloves and
apron must be worn when
reloading sterilizer
following the previous
operation.
• Steam may be released
from the chamber when
door is opened. Step back
from the sterilizer each time
the door is opened to
minimize contact with
steam vapor.
WARNING – SLIPPING
HAZARD: To reduce slippery
floor conditions, keep floors
dry by immediately wiping up
any spilled liquids or
condensation in sterilizer
loading or unloading area.
