9.5.3 Tank Water
Too Hot
(Chilled Water
System)
Occurs if tank water
temperature is greater
than 155°F (68°C).

Tank water temperature is greater
than 155°F (68°C)
Causes and Corrections:
1. Check Chilled Water supply
flow and temperature.
• Pressure should be a
minimum of 40 psig (dynamic)
• Incoming chilled water
temperature should be a
maximum of 45°F (7°C)
2. Check the water utility supply
• Water pressure should be a
minimum of 20 psig (dynamic)
• The water supply temperature
should be a maximum of 70°F
(21°C)
• PS3 – Water utility supply
pressure switch
• V46 – Tank Fill Valve
• ST1 – Water utility supply
strainer
3. Check the calibration of RTD4
(Tank RTD).
4. Verify the MV6 – Tank Drain
Valve is closed.
5. Check LLS2 – Tank Float
Switch
