7.3 Change Cycle
Values
Important: Applicable cycles have been validated to satisfy the
requirements outlined in Table 7-1. If cycle parameters (sterilize time
or dry time) other than those in Table 7-1 are required, it is the
responsibility of the healthcare facility to consult and follow the
device manufacturer’s written instructions.
7.3.1 Overview Refer to screens shown in SECTION 7.3.2, CHANGE CYCLE VALUES
PROCEDURE, PAGE 7-6 for more detail.
Press anywhere on the touch screen pad if the sterilizer is in
Standby. The control advances to Ready. At the Cycles screen,
press the Options touch screen pad (upper right corner), and the
control advances to Options screen; access the cycle values by
pressing Change Cycle Values. Press one of the displayed cycles
(or Next additional cycles). Once the cycle has been selected, the
screen changes to display basic cycle information. Select the value
to change:
• Cycle Name (name of the cycle),
• Sterilize Time (sterilize exposure time) or
• Sterilize Temp (sterilize exposure temperature),
• Dry (drying phase time).
Press the touch screen pad; the display changes to a screen for
making these changes. Once all selections have been entered,
press the OK touch screen pad to accept or Exit to abandon
changes and return to change cycle values screen.

* Sterilize time limits:
» Prevac or SFPP cycles set to a temperature of 270-274°F (132-134°C) are limited to a four-minute
minimum time limit.
» Prevac or SFPP cycles set to a temperature of 275°F (135°C) are capable of a three-minute
minimum time limit.
‡ Sterilize time ranges are validated; times cannot be adjusted beyond these range limits.
