6. Configuration
The configuration can be selected in the "Mode" menu
when the battery is connected, or via the
selection
key if the battery is not connected ("
No battery
connected
" appears on the TFT display).
The procedure to be followed when the battery is
disconnected:
1. Switch on the BAT 690 (fig.1, item1).
 The red LED flashes (fig.1, item7).
 "
No battery connected" appears on the TFT
display.
2. Press

 The configuration menu is displayed.
3. Select menu item with or .
4. Press
.
 The menu item selected is opened.

6.1 Parameters
The "Parameters" menu can be used to enter customer-
specific parameters for 12V and 24V batteries in the
"Buffer" and "Back-up" modes and to select the length
of the connected charging cable.
1. Select the "Parameters" configuration menu.
2. Press

 "Edit values" is displayed.
3. Select parameter set with or .
4. Press
.
 The parameter set is displayed.
6.1.1 Buffer/back-up mode parameters
! Incorrect parameter values (excessively high
values) may destroy the battery and the vehicle.
When operating an LFP battery in buffer mode, the
instructions of the battery manufacturer must be
observed.
The "Buffer/back-up mode" parameter set displays e.g.
the following.
The following parameters can be selected in buffer mode:
Storage battery Voltage Power
12V 11 V – 14,2 V 3 A - 90 A
24V 22 V – 28,4 V 3 A - 45 A
The following parameters can be selected in back-up mode:
Storage battery Voltage Power
12V 11 V – 14,2 V 3 A - 30 A
24V 22 V – 28,4 V 3 A - 22 A

 The next parameter (current) is activated.

6. Connect battery.

 Battery voltage is displayed.
8. Select "Buffer mode" or "Back-up mode".
" Buffer/back-up mode is activated with the selected
parameters.
6.1.2 Parameters of charging cable
! The correct length of charging cable must be
selected as otherwise incorrect values could be
displayed when charging the battery.

" The selected charging cable length is used when
charging.
! The charging cables are not to be modified.
