Alignment
1. Make sure that the diffractometer in the setup that will be used for the non-ambient
measurements is well aligned.
2. Insert absorbers to ensure a count rate of <10kcps in the direct beam. Open the
receiving slit of the detector (0D detector) or use all strips of the LYNXEYE detector in
0D mode.
3. Move θ and 2θ angles to zero.
Height check
u If you have a motorized Z-stage, perform a scan of the Z-motor.
1. Make the scan wide enough to ensure that the intensity is constant with distance at
both ends of the curve.
2. Move the stage to the position of 50% intensity.
´ If the scan was too course to accurately determine this position,
