B. Scanner Drive Assembly
1. Removing the Scanner Motor
1) Open the toner cartridge cover.
2) Remove the upper right cover.
3) Remove the rear cover.
4) Remove the four screws [1], and discon-
nect the connector [2].
5) While pulling the scanner motor unit [3]
toward the front, detach the belt to detach
the motor.
Adjustment:
When the position of the scanner motor
must be adjusted while mounting it, ad-
just the tension of the belt to 13±2N
(1.3±0.2 kgf) using a spring gauge.
