Machinewarmup
Duringthisperiod:
•
Oncetheenginehasstarted,runtheengineatabout
halfthrottle(1100RPMto1300RPM)foraminimum
offourminutesundernoload.Thiswillhelpstabilize
theengine.
•
Afterenginewarmup,enablethepilotcontrolbypush-
ingdownonthecontrolknobjusttotherearofthe
loadercontrollevers.Atthistime,placetheliftarminto
oatandthebucketintorollbacktoloadtheenginein
ordertoheatthehydraulicoil.Holdforapproximately
twominutes.Applyandholdthefootbrake,cyclethe
liftarmandbucket.Repeattheoat/rollbackheating
procedureagainforapproximatelytwominutes.Raise
theliftarmsenoughtosteertheunitfullleftandrightto
warmtheoilinthesteeringcylinders.Inextremecold
conditions,holdtheoat/rollbackconditionforvemin-
utesmaximum.
•
Evenwiththecorrectoilinthehydraulic/brakesystem,
therstfewtimesthebrakesareactuatedtheremay
besomedelaybeforethebrakesareapplied.Theop-
eratormustactuatethebrakepedalaminimumof8to
10timesbeforethemachineismovedtoobtainproper
heating.Actuatingandreleasingthebrakesshouldoc-
curinacycleof3secondsfullonand3secondsoffto
obtainexchangeofthebrakeoil.

Inextremecoldweatherconditions,thebrakeresponse
canbeslow.Theuseofcorrectoilinthehydraulic/
brakesystemisrequiredinpersistentlysevereappli-
cations.Contactyourdealerforthecorrectoil.
•
Whenthemachinehasbeencorrectlywarmedup,ap-
plythefootbrakeandhold,shiftthetransmissionto
forward,pushtheparkbraketoOFFpositionandre-
leasethefootbrake.Operatethemachineinaclear
safearea.Checkthefulloperationofthemachine.
NOTICE:DONOToperatethemachineontheroadun-
tilthetransmissionoilandaxleoilhavebeencorrectly
warmedup.Operatethemachineinaclearsafeareabe-
foreroadoperationinrstandsecondgearonly.
•
Ifthemachinehasbeenleftidlingincoldtempera-
ture,theenginewillstaywarm,butthehydraulic/brake
oilandtheaxleoilwillnotstaywarm.Theoiland
componentscanbecomecoldandslowbrakefunction
responsetime.IfthisshouldhappenyouMUSTgo
throughthecompletewarmupprocedure.
NOTE:Thetransmissionisequippedwithinternalprotec-
tionthatdoesnotallowthetransmissiontoengageifthe
oiltemperatureisbelow-12°C(10°F).Ifthetransmis-
siondoesnotengage,allow2to4minutesofrunningin
neutralandtryagain.
