releasedbrakewhichisappliedtothedriveshaft.Itwill
effectivelyholdthemachineinplacewhenusedcorrectly.

Engagingtheparkingbrake
Toengagetheparkingbrake,movethegearshiftleverto
neutral("N"),stopthemachineandengagethebrakeby
pushingdownonthetopoftheswitch.Theparkingbrake
willautomaticallyengagewhenthemachineisshutoff.
NOTICE:Afailureintheoperatingprocedureorafailure
intheelectricalorhydraulicfunctioncanresultinabrupt
engagementoftheparkingbrake.Alwayswearyourseat
belt.

NOTE:Theservicebrakemustbeatoperatingpressure
beforetheparkingbrakecanbereleasedtomovethema-
chine.Thebrakepressureindicatorlampmustnotbeillu-
minatedwhendisengagingtheparkingbrake.Attempting
tomovethemachinepriortotheservicebrakepressures
beingsufcientcausinglowoperatingpressurecanresult
inprematureparkingbrakepadwear.
