1.Drainwaterandsedimentfromthefuelprelterasre-
quired.Incertaingeographicregionsandclimates
itmaybenecessarytodraincondensationmorefre-
quently.

2.Removeconnector.Openthedrainvalveonthefuel
prelterbyturningcounterclockwisetwoorthreeturns.
3.Drainthewaterand/orcontaminantsfromtheprelter
intoasuitablecontaineruntilcleanfuelows.Donot
allowfueltospillonengineorground.
4.Whencleanfuelrunsthroughtheprelter,closedrain
valve.Replaceconnectors.Disposeofcontaminated
fuelfollowinglocalenvironmentalcodesandguide-
lines.
