Automaticmodeoperation
Toputthetransmissionintheautomaticmode,pressthe
topoftheautoshiftswitch.

Automaticshiftingmode
Whenthetransmissionisintheautomaticmode,the
transmissionwillstartoutinrstgearorsecondgear
(dependentupongearminimumsetting),andautomati-
callyup-shiftuntilthegearselectedhasbeenreached.
Thetransmissionwillalsodown-shiftautomaticallyasthe
speeddecreases.

Down-shiftbutton,automaticmode
Usethedown-shiftbuttontoshiftdownthroughthegears
insinglesteps.Eachtimeyoupresstheswitch,thetrans-
missionshiftsdownonegearrangeuntilreachingtherst
gear.Oncethedown-shiftbuttonhasbeenpresseddown,
thetransmissionmaximumgearallowedislowered.Itwill
returntotheautomaticmodewhen(1)thetransmission
controllevergearchanges,or(2)thetransmissioncon-
trolleverismovedtoNEUTRALandthentoFORWARD
ortoREVERSE.
NOTE:WhentheoperatorselectstheAutomaticMode,
theAutomaticModeindicatorwillbeshownonthemulti-
functiondisplay.
