Anumberofcontrolsandswitchesareplacedontherightsideoftheoperatorforeaseofuse.Controllevers,the
sideconsolehousingthemachineoperationswitches,andtheclimatecontrolfunctionsarelocatedontherightside
ofthemachineintheoperator'scompartment.
Thecongurationsontherightsideoftheoperator'scompartmentinyourmachinemayveryslightlyinappearance
fromthoserepresentedinthismanual,thoughallswitchsymbolsandswitchfunctionremainthesame.
Controlleverscanvaryaswelldependingonoptionsselected.Thedifferentspoolvalvesandcontrolleversare
explainedonthefollowingpages.
Automaticshiftmode
Whenthetransmissionisintheautomaticmode,the
transmissionwillstartoutinrstgearorsecondgear
(dependentupongearminimumsetting),andautomati-
callyup-shiftuntilthegearselectedhasbeenreached.
Thetransmissionwillalsodown-shiftautomaticallyasthe
speeddecreases.

Down-shiftbuttonautomaticmode
Thedown-shiftbuttonisusedtoshiftdownthroughthe
gearsinsinglesteps.Eachtimetheswitchispressed,
thetransmissionwillshiftdownonegearrangeuntilrst
gearisreached.Oncethedown-shiftbuttonhasbeen
presseddown,thetransmissionmaximumgearallowedis
lowered.Itwillreturntotheautomaticmodewhen(1)the
transmissioncontrollevergearchanges,or(2)thetrans-
missioncontrolleverismovedtoNEUTRALandthento
FORWARDortoREVERSE.WhentheAutomaticMode
hasbeenchosenbytheoperator,theAutomaticModein-
dicatorwillbeshowninthemulti-functiondisplay.

ondpattern.Firstandsecondgeararetheonlyshiftpat-
ternavailableinthemanualdownshiftmode.
