1.Insertaatbladescrewdriverintoslotsatthetopof
batterycaps.Removethecellcapsandcheckthelevel
ineachbatterycell.Thelevelshouldbenolessthan
4.8mm(0.2in)fromthebottomofthecell.Adddis-
tilledwaterifnecessary,theninstallthecellcaps.
NOTE:Wipethetopofthebatteryorusecompressedair
toremovedust.Usecarewhenremovingcapsanddonot
allowdirtorcontaminantstoenterthebatterycells.
NOTICE:Continuoususeofthebatterywithlowuidwill
lowerbatteryperformance.
2.Iftheterminalsaredirty,washwithwarmwater.Rein-
stalltheterminals,applygreaseorsprayrustpreven-
tivesolutiontocreategoodconnections.
3.Iftheterminalisoxidized,polishitwithawirebrushor
emerypaper.
NOTE:Measurethespecicgravityofbatteryuidwitha
gravimeter.Themeasuredvaluewillvarydependingon
theambienttemperature.
