Thefollowingprocedureapplieswhenthemachineis
tobestoredforamonthormore.Storethemachineon
rm,levelground,insideabuildingor,ifnotpossible,
outsideandcoveredwithatarpaulin.Beforestoringthe
machine,carryoutthefollowingoperations:
1.Cleanthemachine.
2.Retractthearmcylinderrodasfaraspossible,and
lowertheboomuntiltheattachmentisrestingon
theground.
3.Greasethemachinethoroughly.Theexposedsur-
facesofthecylinderrodsshouldbegreasedor
coveredwithaprotectivelm.Seeyourdealer.
NOTE:Whenthemachineresumesservice,thelmwill
disappearautomatically
1.Drainthefueltank,andllwithamixtureof90%diesel
fueland10%anti-corrosiveoil.Runtheengineatidle
speedforveminutestoallowtheanti-corrosiveoilto
reachthelines,lters,pumpandinjectors.
2.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilsump,ll
withanti-corrosiveoil,andreplacetheengineoillter.
3.Whentheengineiscold,cleantheouterpartsofthe
enginewithdieselfuel.
4.Cleanorreplacetheairlterelement.
5.Drainthecoolingsystem,leavethedrainvalvesopen,
anddonottightentheradiatorcap.
6.Greasethecylinderrods.
7.Removethebatteries,cleanthebatteryhousingsand
makesurenottoleaveanytracesofacid.Storethe
batteriessafelyinacoolanddrylocation,wherethe
temperaturewillbehigherthan0°C(32.0°F).
8.Paintanyareaswherethepaintshowssignsofdeteri-
oration.
9.Plugtheairlterinletandtheexhaustpipe.
10.Removethestarterswitchkeyandplacea"DONOT
OPERATE"labelontheright-handcontrolarm.
11.Lockthehoodsandthecabdoor.
