ahighergear.Turnthelevertowardyoutoselecta
lowergear.Thiscontrolleverisalsousedtoputthe
transmissioninFORWARD,NEUTRAL,andREVERSE
(F-N-R).
A.MovethecontrolleverawayfromyouforFORWARD.
B.ThecenterpositionofthecontrolleverisNEUTRAL.
C.MovethecontrollevertowardyouforREVERSE.

Usingthesteeringcolumntransmission
lever
Allthefollowingstepsarerequiredinordertousethe
steeringcolumntransmissionlever:
1.Servicebrakepressuremustbeatoperatingpressure.
2.Transmissioncontrollevermustbeinneutral.
3.Pushdownonthebottomoftheparkingbrakeswitch
toreleasetheparkingbrakeswitch.
NOTE:IftheparkingbrakewasNOTsetwhenthema-
chinewasturnedOFF ,theparkingbrakeswitchmustbe
cycledatstep3.
4.PlacethetransmissioncontrolleverineitherFOR-
WARDorREVERSEtomovethemachine.
