Loadercontrol
Theloadercontrolleversareconnectedtoahydraulicac-
cumulatorthroughapressurereducingvalve.Thepur-
poseofthereducingvalveandaccumulatorcombination
isto:(1)allowtheoperatortolowertheloaderarmsifthe
enginestopswiththeloaderarmsraised,or(2)givethe
controlsystemhydraulicpressureassistancewhenoper-
atingthemachineatlowidlespeed.T otestaccumulator
performance,performsteps1through5.
1.Starttheengine.
2.Raisetheloaderbucket.
3.Stoptheengine.
4.TurnthekeytoRUN.
5.Verifythattherighthandsideofthepilotcontrolswitch
isdepressed,allowingthepilotcontrolstofunction.
MovetheliftarmcontroltoLOWER.Theloaderbucket
mustlowertotheground.Ifthebucketdoesnotlowerto
theground,seetheServiceManualforthismachineor
seeyourdealer.
Brakeaccumulators
Twohydraulicaccumulatorsareconnectedinthebrake
system.Theaccumulatorsprovidethebrakemodulating
valvewithapositivesupplyofpressurizedhydraulicuid.
Testtheaccumulatorsforcorrectoperationevery100
hours.
1.Starttheengine.
2.Runtheengineat1/2throttlefor15seconds.
3.Stoptheengine.
4.Withoutstartingtheengine,turntheignitionkeytothe
ONposition.Aftertheinstrumentclustercompletes
thediagnosticcheck,conrmthatthebrakepressure
lightisnotON.
5.Repeatedlypumpthebrakepedaluntilthebrakepres-
surelampisilluminated.Whenpumpingthebrake
pedal,thereshouldbesomeresistancepressurefelt.
Aslightincreaseshouldbefeltinthepressureasthe
brakesarepumped.
6.Afterthelampilluminates,continuetopumpthebrake
pedalandcountthenumberoffullapplications.
NOTE:Ifyoucancompletesix(6)fullbrakeapplications
aftertheindicatorlampilluminates,theaccumulatorsare
workingcorrectly.Ifyoucannotcompletesix(6)appli-
cations,seetheServiceManualforthismachineorsee
yourdealer.
