Batteryservice
Beforeyouservicecomponentsoftheelectricalsystem,
alwaysdisconnecttheNEGATIVE(-)batterycable.
Dirt,moisture,andcorrosiononthebatterywilldischarge
thebattery.CleanthebatterywithCaseBatterySaverand
Cleaner.Followtheinstructionsonthecontainer.
Disconnectthealternatorwiresifyoumustruntheengine
withthebatterywiresdisconnected.
Beforeyouuseanelectricwelder,disconnectthealternator
wires,instrumentcluster,andturnthemasterdisconnect
switchtoOFF.
Donotuseasteamcleanerorcleaningsolventtocleanthe
alternator.
Batteryvents
Keepthebatteryventsclean,makesuretheventsarenot
restricted.
Cleaningthebatteries
Checkthebatteriesandbatterycompartmentregularly
fordirt,corrosionanddamage.Dirtmixedwithelec-
trolyteormoistureonthetopofthebatteriescancause
adischargedconditioninthebatteries.Useoneofthe
followingmethodstocleanthebatteries.

Useacommercialbatterycleaningproduct.Follow
theinstructionsonthecontainer.
Usebakingsodaorammoniaandushtheoutsideofthe
batterieswithwaterifyoudonothaveacommercialbattery
cleaningproduct.
