6. D IGITAL ZOOM
In the "Av, P" modes, in addition to the optical zoom, this zoom produces an electronically
rendered zoom. It enables the camera together with the optical zoom to produce 12x zoom images.
The digital zoom is activated by pressing the “T” (telephoto) zoom button until you reach maximum
optical zoom ratio, then lift your finger off the button temporarily and press the button again to
engage the digital zoom. The zoom ratio is indicated on the LCD monitor when the digital zoom is
used.
' OFF.The digital zoom cannot be used.
<2; ON.The digital zoom can be used (x1.3, x1.6, x2.0, x3.0, x4.0)
• The digital zoom uses Interpolation to enlarge the image. Note that picture Quality deteriorates as images are
enlarged.
■ Use the LCD monitor to view digital zoom images. The odtical viewfinder cannot be used to view digital zoom
Images.
7. BEEP
The beep can be adjusted.
Select one of the following; i OFF, (?;+1. i3.+2, 4 ■ + 3
• The default setting IS'3'+2
• This also adjusts the sound when the camera is turned on.
8. SHUTTER VOL
Adjusts the shutter volume.
Select one of the following: 'll OFF, ® +1, ® +2. +3
9. COLOR SELECT
The color of the cursor in the mode menus and in menu selections can be changed.

10. START SCREEN
The start screen, which is displayed when the camera is turned on, can be set to one of the
following three types:
® CONTAX screen.the default setting
® User customized screen .... an image stored on the memory card can be used as start
screen.
® OFF screen.(The start screen cannot be displayed.)

11. AUTO PLAYBACK
The camera can be set up so that Images are automatically displayed as they are taken, (still
Images only)
You can also set the time they are displayed.

12. LANGUAGE
You can select one of the following five languages as the language used on the LCD monitor.
