Allvehicleorequipmentusersmusthaveallnecessaryinformation,trainingandeducationinrelationtothe
correctuseconditionsofthemeansandforeseeableanomalousrisks.
Theinformation,trainingandeducatingmustbeimplementeduponintroductionofnewworkequipment
andforeachworkequipmentavailabletousers.
NOTICE
Ensure to respect the current laws and Standards in the selling country of the machine with regard to
information, training and educating of personnel to use the vehicle and its equipment.
Theemployerisobligedtoinformpersonnelonthefollowingtopicsrelatedtosafetyduringuse:
– Riskofinjury
– Individualsafetydevicesandmachinesafetydevices,setupforoperatorsafety
– Generalaccidentpreventionrulesand/orforeseenbyinternationaldirectives
– AccidentpreventionrulesofLegislationoftheCountrywherethevehicleisintendedforuse
Theoperator,beforestartingthework,mustknowthecharacteristicsofthemachineandmusthavefullyread
thisUseandMaintenanceManual.
3.4.2 Training
CAUTION
The operator in charge of using the vehicle or equipment must have attended a suitable theoretical-
practical course lasting as long as indicated by legal prescriptions in the Country where the vehicle or
equipment is used.
Trainingmustatleastincludethefollowingsubjects:
– Useandlimitsofthefunctioningandemergencycontrolsoftheequipmentandofthevehicleonwhich
theequipmentismounted
– Knowledge and awareness of the Use and Maintenance Manual and of the control marks, of the
instructionsandofthewarningsappliedonthevehicle
– Knowledge and understanding of the Standard on this equipment, including the educating aimed at
recognizingandavoidingpotentialdangersatwork
– Knowledge of the mechanical functioning of the vehicle sufficient for recognizing a real or potential
failure
– Hintsonconstructiveparticularsofthevehiclesandonstaticanddynamicstabilityconcepts
– Correctuseofthevehicleproceduresinsafeconditionswithregardtotheworkplaceandtheloadtobe
handled/lifted,capacityandguidenotions
– KnowledgeanduseofthePPEtobewornduringuseofthevehicleandoftheequipment.
– Knowledgeandexecutionoftheroutinemaintenancetobecarriedout
Training must be carried out under the supervision of a qualified person in an open area and free from
obstacles.Attheendofthispractice,thetraineemustbeabletosafelyusetheequipment,andthevehicleon
whichitisinstalled.
Theoperatormustalsobetrainedontheresponsibilityandauthorityofnotusingthevehicleincaseoffailure
orpresenceofunsafeconditions,andrequestfurtherinformationfromtheManufacturerorauthorizeddealer.
3.4.3 Qualification
The vehicle and equipment are intended for professional use; their use must therefore be entrusted to
qualifiedfigures,inparticular:
– Beingofadultage
– Bephysicallyandpsychicallysuitabletocarryoutparticularlydifficulttechnicalwork
