11.4.4 Battery cut-off switch
WARNING
Use this switch only when the engine is stopped.
Thebattery cutoff switch "1" (1507311) allows the operator to
isolatethebatteryfromtheelectricalcircuitincaseofemergency
orduringmaintenanceoperations.
Toisolatethebattery:
– Turnofftheengine.
– Turntheignitionkeytoposition"0".
– Turn the battery cutoff switch counterclockwise to the off
position.

NOTICE
If the vehicle is provided with the basket prearrangement it is also provided with a battery cut-off switch
with removable key, to ensure that it is not used accidentally.
11.4.5 Battery: Replacement
The vehicle is equipped with a battery located on the front
centralpartofthechassis“1”(fig.1507321).
Before removing the battery disconnect it from the electrical
circuit through the appropriate battery cutoff switch,following
theinstructionsgivenintherelevantchapter.
Toremovethebattery:
– Placethevehicleintheservice positionasdescribed inthe
"Settingthevehicleformaintenance"section.
– Toaccessthebatteryitisnecessarytoremovetheprotection
guards.
– DisconnecttheNEGATIVEcable(black)fromthebattery.
– DisconnectthePOSITIVEcable(red)fromthebattery.
– Removethebatteryfromthevehicle.
– Placethenewbattery.
– ConnectthePOSITIVE(red)cabletothebattery.
– ConnecttheNEGATIVE(black)cabletothebattery.
– Reactivatethebatterycutoffswitch.
– Closetheenginehood.
