8.1.14.1 Deadman seat sensor
Thevehicleisequippedwithasafetysystemcalled"deadman"
which consists of an electrical microswitch inside the seat
cushion“1”(fig.1504131).

CAUTION
The engine can be started only if the operator is seated properly in the driving seat and the gear lever is in
neutral “N”.
Iftheengineisrunningandtheoperatorisnotsittingproperlyinthedriver'sseatforatimelongerthan3
seconds,thetransmissionisautomaticallydisabledandtheparkbrakeisengaged.
Tocontinuemovingthemachine,theoperatormustsitinthedriver'sseatandsetthemovementselection
leverinposition"N".
8.1.14.2 Seat adjustment
CAUTION
Correctly position the seat.
The seat is properly positioned when the operator is able to perform a full stroke to the brake pedal by
holding the back against the backrest of the seat itself.
Theseatcanbeadjustedtodifferentpositions:
Backrest inclination
To adjust the inclination of the backrest (fig. 1504151), lift the
leverontheleftsideandletthebackrestadapttotherequired
position.Releasethelevertoblockthebackrest.
