16 Transporting the vehicle on a trailer
WARNING
Always check the good condition of the anchors (ropes, chains, wedges, etc...).
Payattentionto thefollowingwhen loadingthevehicle ontoa
trailer:
– Beforeusingrampsortrailerstoloadthevehicleon,remove
anymud,iceoroilthatcouldcauseaccidents.
– Checkthattheaxleandthetransportvehiclecanwithstand
the overall weight of the machine and any loaded
equipment.
– Checktheoveralldimensionsofthevehicleforminimumand
maximumheightsfromthegroundandtheweightallowed.
– Carefullyhandlethevehicleontothetransportvehicle.
– Makesurelocalregulationsareobservedwhentransporting
thevehicleonpublicroads.

DANGER
When loading or unloading a vehicle from a transport vehicle, there is always the risk of the vehicle
overturning sideways; therefore, have another person on the ground to control the operations.
Take the following precautions when loading or unloading a
vehicle:
1. Choosesolidandlevelground.
2. Removeanyattachmentsinstalledonthevehicle.
3. Lowerandfullyretractthetelescopicboom
4. Useaplatformoraramp.
5. Alwaysselecttheslowestspeed.
6. Loadthevehicleontothetransportvehicle,makingsurethat
therampsarepositionedproperlyandsafely.
7. Oncethe vehicleisinasafeposition,switchtheengine off
andengagetheparkingbrake.
8. Closeallwindowsandthecabdoor.
9. Anchor the vehicle to the transport vehicle with chains or
cablesthroughtherelativehooks(fig.1505262).
10. Applywedgestothefrontandrearwheelsofthetransport
vehicle.
