Unpack and inspect
The pump is supplied in a cardboard box and does not require liing equipment.
WARNING:
Appropriate care should be taken when liing and moving the pump to avoid injury. The
user must adhere to manual handling guidelines.
WARNING:
The motor controller cable should not be used as a liing device. Do not aempt to li or
support the pump using the cable.
CAUTION:
Local legislaon concerning the impact of the pump on the environment must be followed
when installing and removing the pump.
1. Take care when unpacking the pump to avoid excessive shocks which could damage
the bearings and reduce the life of the pump. The pump is supplied with the inlets and
outlet sealed to prevent entry of dust and vapour. Do not remove these seals unl
ready to install the pump on the vacuum system.
2. Open the cardboard box from the top. Once the box lid is open, remove the upper
pieces of foam and cut open the bag.
3. If the pump is damaged, nofy the supplier and the carrier in wring within three
days; state the item number of the pump together with the order number and the
supplier's invoice number. Retain all packing materials for inspecon. Do not use the
pump if it is damaged.
4. Check that the package contains the items listed in Table 1 on page 19. If any of
these items are missing, nofy the supplier in wring within three days.
5. If the pump is not to be used immediately, store in suitable condions as described in
Storage on page 63.
6. It is advised to retain all packing materials for use, should you return the pump for
service.
