Troubleshoong
A list of fault condions and their possible causes is provided here to assist in basic
troubleshoong. If unable to recfy a fault when using this guide, call your supplier or your
nearest Edwards Service Centre for advice.
Symptom
The controller LEDs do not ash for 0.5 seconds when system switched on on page 65
The pump does not rotate aer a parallel start command is supplied on page 65
The pump does not rotate aer a serial start command is sent on page 65
The pump does not respond in mul- drop mode on page 66
The green Normal LED does not light or the pump is not rotang at full speed or the pump fails
whilst running on page 66
Ulmate pressure cannot be reached on page 66
The pump is very noisy or there is excessive vibraon or both on page 67
No serial comms on page 67
Fail signal or standby signal not working on page 67
Yellow service LED is ashing a repeated sequence on page 67
The red alarm LED is on on page 68
The red alarm LED is ashing on page 68
Any other problems on page 68
The controller LEDs do not ash for 0.5 seconds when system switched on
Cause The electrical supply has failed.
Remedy Ensure that the electrical supply is switched on and the fuses (and current liming devices)
have not been tripped.
Cause The pump rotor is spinning.
Remedy The LEDs may not ash if the pump is rotang.
The pump does not rotate aer a parallel start command is supplied
Cause Check that the electricity supply is on and whether the fail output is acve.
Remedy If there is a fail signal, check whether the red alarm LED is ashing. If it is, refer to Flashing
service codes on page 69. If power is supplied, there is no fail signal and the rotor sll does
not rotate then there is a fault with the pump.
The pump does not rotate aer a serial start command is sent
Cause Check whether the pump returns a reply to the start command.
Remedy If there is no reply then perform the checks given under No serial comms on page 67
otherwise perform the checks under The pump does not rotate aer a parallel start command
is supplied on page 65.
