Operating the cable reel and the SAT cable reel (RAXSAT300)
The cable reel functions are controled via the cable reel menu. By default the automatic mode is active for both cable reels as well as the synchro-
nization between cable reel and SAT cable reel.
In automatic mode the cable reel is automatically controlled by the system. The winding and unwinding of the cable reel is synchronized with the
direction of movement and crawler speed.
In addition, the tensile force of the cable reel can be increased to optimize synchronization. In manual mode, the tensile force and the winding
speed of both cable reels can be controlled independently of the crawler.
If the synchronization is active, the SAT cable reel follows the meter counter of the calbe reel.
If the cable reel unwinds 1.5m, the SAT cable reel also actives unwinds 1.5m cable.
If the feeder unit for the SAT cable is activated on the crawler, the SAT cable reel follows the meter counter of the feeder unit.
Thus the cable reel and the feeder unit on the vrawler are the master and the SAT cable reel is the slave.
Switching between automatic mode and manual mode of the cable reels
NOTE!
When switching from automatic to manual mode, the cable reel is in manual mode. By default, the SAT cable reel is still active in
manual mode, and thus it follows the cable reel exactly, unless you additionally switch off the cable reel synchronization (
).
• To switch between automatic mode and manual mode, press .
The respective symbol lights up.
I In automatic mode the cable reel follows the crawler, meaning that if the crawler moves forward, the cable reel unwinds.
If the crawler moves backwards, the cable reel winds up the cable with the set force.
In manual mode, the cable reel no longer reacts to the crawler and can only be wound and unwound manually.
