5.5.3 Power supply selecting criteria
1. The main power supply must be capable of supplying the power required by the set of drives
connected to it.
MANDATORY. Note that motors from the FM9-  -C5C  -  -A family must be matched
to QC-PDS systems with QC-RPS-
 -  regenerative power supplies.

The main power supply must be capable of supplying the power required by all the motor-drive
combinations connected to it.

If the required rated power (calculated A value) exceeds 160 kW, then install a second main power
supply. Divide the set of drives into two groups so they can be powered by different power supplies.
Refer to the IMPORTANT NOTE below.
IMPORTANT NOTE . When using two power supplies on the same machine, they must make up two
independent groups with their own drives. Only
the SERCOS-III BUS can be common for both
groups.
DANGER. NEVER connect the DC BUSES of the main power supplies in parallel.
ALWAYS install the two groups separately.
