7.4 Direct feedback cable
The direct feedback of the spindle is given by an external linear or rotary
encoder that may be incremental (with I0 reference signals) or absolute
(without I0 reference signals).
External incremental encoder
The direct feedback cable used to establish the connection between a
FAGOR incremental external feedback device (linear or rotary) using
sinusoidal signals (1 Vpp) or square signals (differential TTL) and a E21B
connector of a QC-DR-
-F
single drive is supplied by FAGOR and
depends on the model of the feedback device to be installed.
External absolute encoder
The direct feedback cable used to establish the connection between an
external absolute feedback device (FAGOR absolute encoder) using
sinusoidal signals (1 Vpp) and a E21B connector of a QC-DR-
-F
single
drive is supplied by FAGOR and depends on the model of the feedback
device to be installed.
External Stegmann sinusoidal feedback encoder
The direct feedback cable for connecting an external Stegmann sinusoidal
encoder to the E21B connector of a QC-DR-
-F
simple drive is not
supplied by FAGOR.
To make this connection, the pinout at the end of the encoder supplied by
the manufacturer must be known to match it with the pinout of the E21B
connector of the corresponding installed drive. See the section on the
E21B connector in chapter 3. DRIVES of this manual.
With this information, the user will be able to make the connection and
make his own cable.
Installation
See section, 8.6.2 DIRECT FEEDBACK CONNECTION.
