12.7 Identification of Equipment
Each electronic device is identified by its version|model label and its
nameplate.
The version|model label indicates the commercial model name, model
certificate type (TYPE), hardware version (Vers:), series number (SN) and
the manufacturing date (Date). Also, the bar code and the EC and TÜV
markings are also printed.
The EC and TÜV markings, the address of the manufacturing plant,
commercial model (MODEL) and type of certified model (TYPE), as well as
the main technical information of the equipment are indicated on the
nameplate.
These two plates fully identify the equipment and must be referred to when
repairing or replacing these units.
NOTE. The user must make sure that the commercial models indicated on
the packing list of the order match those provided in each item of
equipment on its characteristics plate before making any connection to
avoid any possible shipping errors.
