8.6.2 Direct feedback connection
The direct feedback device may be a linear encoder (incremental or
absolute) or an external rotary encoder.
For single-drives
The connection for the direct feedback is made between the connector of
the encoder, or external encoder, feedback device and the E21B connector
of the QC-DR-
-FS2 single-drive or the E21D connector of the QC-DR-
275-SS2 single-drive.
See the shield connection to the GP-2 protective earth bar in figure F. H8/7.
For all details relating to the cable used in the direct feedback connection,
see the manual corresponding to the encoder installed.
For dual-drives
For main non-regenerative power supplies
For main regenerative power supplies
The connection is made directly between the feedback device connector of
the encoder or external encoder and the E21A connector of the QC-RPS-
-FF1 regenerative power supply. A second direct feedback can be
connected to the E21B connector if the regenerative power supply is QC-
RPS-
-FF2, in other words there are two direct feedback inputs.
