2.1.5 External braking resistor selections
The QC-PS-
models have, on their front side and on top of the X14
connector (see diagram), three S16 micro-switches for selecting the
installed external Ballast resistor. Use the table below to determine the
arrangement of the micro-switches based on the installed external braking
resistor model.
For the dip-switch combination shown in the figure and verified in the table,
the Ballast resistor selected would correspond to the ER+TH-18/1800.

represents the moving element of the mircro-switch in the figure.
WARNING. If you are installing a NON-FAGOR external resistor
and if its power is higher than any of the FAGOR resistors listed in
that same cell of the table, then select the indicated micro-
switch arrangement. Ignoring this warning MAY CAUSE THE
DESTRUCTION of the resistor WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. If a lower
power NON-FAGOR resistor is to be installed, ensure it has its
OWN PROTECTION SYSTEM.
