CONNECTION
6.1 Mains connection
The FAGOR QC-PDS system is designed to be connected to a three-
phase mains supply with line voltages between 400 (1-10 %) V AC and
480 (1+10 %) V AC and line frequencies between 50 (1-4 %) Hz and 60
(1+3.3 %) Hz. Connecting it to a different voltage range requires the use
of transformers or auto-transformers. The connection may vary depending
on the type of mains connected to the machine and the electromagnetic
compatibility required by the machine. If the type of mains does not
require isolating transformers and they only require a voltage adaptation;
we recomment to install auto-transformers instead of isolating
transformation.
Certain mandatory protection devices must be added to the lines that
extend from mains to the FAGOR QC-PDS system. Others are optional.

WARNING. NEVER connect a QC-PDS system with energy regeneration
(i.e. QC-RPS-
-F
) in mains isolated from general mains (generators,
emergency power generators, etc.). In these cases, ALWAYS install a QC-
PDS system with non-regenerating power supplies (i.e. QC-PS-
).

It is not required that the - KM1 power contactor be
installed when installing a non-regenerative power
supply.
