7.6 SERCOS-II interface fiber optics
FAGOR supplies a 0.525 m fiber optic ribbon cable that is required to
establish communications via a SERCOS-II digital interface between the
QC-RPS-160-SN0 power supply and the QC-DR-275-SN0 drive. This
ribbon cable is provided as an accessory with the drive.
It also has a range of fiber optic SFO-... cables with connectors at both
ends and with lengths ranging from 1 to 100 meters to connect the CNC,
supplied upon request. Available lengths: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25,
30, 35, 40, 50, 60, 75 and 100 meters. See the following sections for
more information.

7.6.1 SFO-X cable

7.6.2 SFO-FLEX-X cable
When the total optical fiber line does not exceed connection lengths of 40
m and operates under dynamic conditions (movement), use an SFO-
FLEX-
 optical fiber cable with a polymer core.

NOTE. Only for models QC-DR-275-SS2 and QC-RPS-160-SN0

lengths of 40 m and operates under static conditions (idle), use an SFO-
 optical fiber cable with a polymer core. The useful life span of a SFO-
 cable cannot be guaranteed if it is installed in applications where it
works under dynamic conditions (moving).

Normal. It must only be used in systems under static
conditions where the minimum bending radius is 30
mm. Use only in static conditions.

Storage: -35°C/85°C (-31°F/185°F)

High. Special for cable-carrying chains with a
minimum bending radius, in dynamic conditions, is

INFORMATION. The maximum length for fiber optic cables mentioned
earlier for best performance is 40 meters.
INFORMATION. The SFO-FLEX-
 fiber optic cables are compatible with
the SFO-  cables. The SFO-FLEX-  cables have greater flexibility.
