8.3.2 Mechanical installation
Follow the steps below to perform the complete mechanical installation of
the QC-PDS system:
 Determine which modules make up the QC-PDS system.
See the available modules in the following table:
 Mount each one inside the electrical cabinet.
Install it vertically. Begin by placing the fasteners at the bottom. It is
advisable for using the Allen-type inner hex head screws.
While still holding the equipment, place the top fasteners.
 Place the MAIN FILTER in the electrical cabinet.
Select the mains filter that corresponds to the installed power supply.
See table T. H4/3.
The arrangement be installed in various ways, however, always make
sure it is as close as possible to the main power supply. In the vertical
position, begin placing the fasteners at the bottom. It is advisable for
using the Allen-type inner hex head fastening screws.
While still holding the equipment, place the top fasteners.
If the installed power supply corresponds to a QC-RPS-
 -  model
(regenerative), then:
 Mount the CHOKE.
 Select the CHOKE that corresponds to the installed regenerative power
supply. See table T. H4/6.
Install the CHOKE in any position and inside the electrical cabinet,
except the RPS-160 CHOKE model, which will be installed horizontally
and also fixed to the floor inside the cabinet. Use the Allen-type inner
hex head screws. See figure F. H6/7.
 Mount the QC-BPM-100 bus protection module, if applicable, in any
position on the DC BUS. To determine if it is applicable, see section, 4.7
BUS PROTECTION MODULE.
MANDATORY. ALWAYS
install the QC-PDS system that, in general,
includes the external safety controller INSIDE AN ELECTRICAL CABINET with
an IP 54 protection or higher.
